Just noticed this pic that got overlooked on this thread...I'm thinking lynx based on the size, although I don't see the tufts of hair on the ears, but maybe they're not noticeable because pic was taken in the dark??

[QUOTE=Husky7mm;2462607]Check out this buck admiring the moon. They have night vision, I wonder what he sees. He is clearly looking at the moon. Its the only picture from the burst I kept. He turns his head and gazes at the moon.

I read an interesting article a while ago and it was saying that black bears will actually sit and take in the scenery. They observed bears stationary for a while looking around and taking in the view. Sounds weird but the author figured that was what they were doing. Deer seem too high strung to me for that but maybe they are impressed with the scenery once in a while as well.

Put out a cam 2km from any road on an old cutline while hunting for moose in September and forgot about it until mid December....

This guy played tag with me but I was not 100% he was legal.

And this was a surprise as there is zero vehicle access for 2k.

But that all changed....and maybe explained the above photo. So much for being "in the middle of nowhere".

But the deer, elk and moose didn't seem to care

    Cheers

That is one of the reasons, I give up on building a cabin somewhere. Every time I figure I have a nice place picked out, they'd come in and log it, and twice, they have made coal mines on my spots. And who wears a safety jacket out hunting. When I retired I burned mine, had enough of that safety crap. Nice pics

The gov will rip down cabins on public land if found, so make sure you got a good hidden spot.

The guy might not be hunting but working and the rifles for preds? Although there are better options for pred defence.

At first I thought the guy was doing a walk through the timber, but, that cannon he has on his shoulder is not something that you carry for bear protection. It has a 26" barrel and is scoped, which is not very handy in the brush...and trust me, it is thick in there until you get to the cut lines.

So I think that guy was hunting, although I am not sure how he would get anything out.

I doesn't real matter anymore, time to go check some new country.

    Cheers

Ya SS they don't lay out a cut block a week before it's cut down. He was hunting.
Any body know the trick uploading PRIMOS trail cam pics?
    I can't even email them.
The challenge of retirement is how to spend time without spending money.
The worst day slinging lead is still better than the best day working.
Look around is there someone you can introduce to shooting because that’s the only way we will buck the anti gun trend sweeping Canada! "tigrr 2006"
