My browser still has a "red X Not secure" in front of the URL.
If you remember your password try clearing your cookies maybe? mine is showing its secure as well as my antivirus is showing it as safe to view, not that there was any issues with the site before but it's now giving it the green lite of certified safe.
Just opened site from brand new notebook 'puter. Also works although I had to login. Fortunately the browser (Edge) saves & autofills many of my pwords. All I had to do was select the password entry box & kapow, I was in like Flint...
Just an FYI for anyone still seeing "insecure", here are some possibly reasons:
- If you implemented the work-around (changing the site settings to allow insecure content) it will still show as insecure until you change that setting back to "Block"
- If you are still browsing to http://huntingbc.ca instead of https://huntingbc.ca and your browser is allowing this, it will still show as insecure. Note: I might add an HTTP to HTTPS redirect to make it automatically redirect browsers still going to http://
- It could also be browser cache. Pressing CTRL F5 will do a hard refresh with no caching
Regarding logins (having to enter username and password twice):
This is could also be if you are going to the http:// site. Clicking Login will send you to the https:// site and some browsers may see this as being a different website. I think I will go ahead and add that HTTP to HTTPS redirect website this evening (around 5 - 6PM) while I'm in there doing some other work.
Thank you all a TON for the reports. This is incredibly helpful to us. Please keep them coming as there will continue to be adjustments here and there to fix the more minor glitches.
One thing I would like to mention is that for every little change (even seemingly harmless) I take a fresh snapshot of the entire database This takes about 1 minute and while this is occurring, the site may be sluggish OR the page can fail to load with a "Database Error". Just a heads-up in case anyone observes this.

Not the issue I am seeing. My browser immediately takes me to the HTTPS site (always has), but I still am forced to figure a way to get around the double sign in to access here. Just tried again & verified that.
Never had a single issue prior to this?
Thanks for your efforts!
I know many will appreciate them!
tri777 & IronNoggin (and any others who had that issue) it "might" (still a big might - just the way it goes with all that's going on under the hood) be fixed.
I was just in there fixing some some other issues (icons that weren't displaying properly because they were still linked insecurely) and noticed a redirect that might have been trying to redirect some browsers to http://www.huntingbc.ca like we see in your screenshot. I also added a server-side HTTP to HTTPS redirect.
When you have a chance, can you try logging out, open a new browser window or tab, then go to the site like you normally do, refresh the page then log in? If that works, sweet, we should be smooth sailing (in that regard) otherwise I keep looking around. Thanks!

I logged in & out a few times now, seems the double log in thing has disappeared, Thanks caddisguy !!

Awesome news and thank you both for reporting this and for your patience. As part of my "no man left behind policy", I need to wait for IronNoggin to confirm on his end before I check it off the list
This is all a bit of a juggling act. Change something to solve a big problem for a lot of people, then it creates smaller oddities for a few people who never had a problem, so sometimes you need to whack-a-mole until it's done.
And I do apologize to anyone who gets the occasional slow loading or "Database error". I just want to mention again to spread the word. For the majority of changes, I take a snapshot of the entire database before changing anything (so I can put it back the way it was moments before if something very unexpected happens) It lasts about 1 minute and I try to plan my changes so I only do this once a day. Probably less in the days and weeks to come as focus will be shifting to planning / testing upgrades on a "beta" instance of the site, so we eventually just flip a switch and have all the bells and whistles (easier uploads, like buttons and such)
Thanks again to everyone working with me (and putting up with me LOL) on all this. Here's hoping we have IronNoggin's double login fixed now. No man left behind!
