No salmon farm closures by 2025, says fisheries minister

The time is quickly approaching for the government to deliver a plan to remove net pens from the ocean, although Canada’s fisheries minister is assuring those tied to the salmon farming industry that no sites will be closed in 2025.

Delay delay.

I think they are waiting until the results from removals up in Broughton become irrefutable and the fish farm lobby can't double speak any longer.

Imo, the delay has nothing to do with fish farms or the damage being caused and everything to do with the minister worrying about votes in the next election.

Maybe these ministers have money invested in these farms,or being paid off by these farms. Either way it would be nice if the stock portfolios of people in public office were made public to see if there is a conflict in their decisions.
