that’s far from the only one.. lots in the area got hit hard. Roche is toast completely. Mar quart and Edna both winter killer as well as a few others close to me that I’m forgetting.

lots of bears around Roche right now go fill some tags.

Lots of lakes are confirmed or expected. Gonna be a sad fishery for a few years! https://www.gofishbc.com/Blog/Scienc...ring-2023.aspx

this is the site that I got the winter kill table from.

Roche, salmon lake and mar quart are going to put a big dent in where a lot of the tourists fish around this area.

you should see the amount of boats on Stump lake right now it’s insanity.

    Thanks Treed,
Didn't realize Marquart got hit as well as all those other ones.
Yup, there goes a few years of trophy sized Rainbows for sure (Roche).
Once folks figure that out, some of the other lakes are going to be damn busy, if aren’t affected also.
(not sure how complete that list is, as there are hundreds of lakes around there).

Looks like my Fly fishing just turned into more west coast Hali fishing!?

The oxygen levels seem in the interior are the worst in 50 years apparently. The quick freeze in the early fall prevented lakes from turning over. It’s gonna be a busy season at the remaining lakes. Nobody knows how many have been killed. They say Roche is a total winter kill.
