update..THANKS TO Matt...JIM.... and the kennel we got PEARL from....PERSUADED us..problem children occur...Pearl spent 2 weeks at the kennel staying INSIDE the owners own home..and we got a DIFFERNT PEARL back totally different amazing transformation...prior to the stay at the kennel we were at wits end...having done EVERYTHING we knew how to do.
Pearl is an amazing member of our familly..we are so thankful for the advice, encouragment ,knowledge from members on this site...after 30 years and 3 previous Labs we were over our heads with Pearl..
ALL issues were dealt with corrected with LOVE AND THE RESULTS ARE AMAZING.
We will perhaps see if someone can help post a couple photos to introduce our new and improved Pearl.
We almost made a tragic mistake by giving up.truly embarrased..
hmmm sometimes I do also wonder if a heinz 57 isnt bettr?
these purebreds are designer dogs..they are designed for everything for shows and judging..hair hips stance temperment...however by overly emphasising these traits over and over the bad comes along with the "good"...so ie in Labs..hips knees issues are now known charachteristics and issues..$$$$
on this girl we will have pet insurance...
Buddy had a mixed dog..Sammy was awesome...

Hey, Steven,,,just a quick FYI. Purebred dogs are NOT designer dogs. Designer dogs are actually mutts that are the result from purposely breeding two different purebred species together,,,,frequently backyard breeding where health testing (hips, elbow/knees, eyes, and the necessary bloodwork) hasn't been done. It's a joke that these mutts often end up costing the buyers sometimes twice as much as what they'd pay for a well bred, purebred pup. It's their money, though, so let them have at it. The only problem is that it probably factors into raising the cost of purebred dogs.

Well said MC, any mixed breed dog ( or if I'm in a bad mood I'll call it a "mutt" ) is NOT a Purebred, it's not a "breed." Any dog that is a "Doodle" IMHO ain't a "Breed." Nothing wrong with those mutts, they can make great pets, sporting dogs, companions, therapy dogs, whatever, just don't pretend they are "Pure Breds." Personally, I favour "Real Canadian Dogs" such as Labs, Tollers and Newfies. Like, why would we allow those other "foreign" dogs into Canada?
