My family has several of these now, they're great and can't be beat on value. Early season and bike-packing I use their Ninja Quilt, packs into the size of a Nalgene. In my experience their ratings are comfort ratings. I was starting to feel a little bit cool in my -7 bag one morning, then checked the temperature when I got up and it was -8.

Have some old taiga equipment from the early eightys. It still works. Parka is still usefull. The sleeping a down mummy bag top of the line then rated -25c works well but -25 is cold in the bag.

I have a Taiga Barrel bag down filled Gortex outer shell ,wider than a mummy as I’m a side sleeper . It’s hmmm close to 30 years old . Love it . I have hand washed a few times with Nikwax downs wash . The first time I used it was a hunt in the Caribou .. We slept in a truck bed with a canopy ,it rained like a mother and the roof vent leaked down on me in the middle of the three of us . The rain rolled off of my bag and soaked the guy on either side of me . LOL !
