That is not specific to 5-13B. They don't want resident hunters hunting anywhere for any species. Take it with a grain of salt

Yeah you guys are right. The first time I went out to hunt with him I was actually worried we would come across some natives blocking roads, I didn't know how I would be able to defend myself and senior in his 80s. Thankfully we haven't come across any of the native roadblocks I used to hear about.
Went out this morning, two spikers and 4 does. Opa took a crack at one of the spikers but missed. I was out of the truck walking but if I'd know he wanted a spiker I'd have helped him out.
I watched the 2 spikes and 1 doe walk right by the truck from where I was sitting then she walked up to me within 30 yards.
See what this afternoon brings us but seeing animals is a good start!

Well my luck of coming home with a deer from BC ran out. 2 for 3 now.
We just couldn't find a buck worth shooting. I could have ended it 1hr in on the first morning with a spiker but I take no pride in that. I wish I could have a general tag like here in AB I'd have taken one of the many does we saw.
Saw a smaller buck the 2nd morning on the move and another deer ran out after him too quick for me to even get the binos up but I assume it was another buck.
Weather was cooperative and my kids love seeing their great grandparents and my wife is lucky to have grandparents still.
Opa went and pushed bush for me this morning with no luck but he said he needed the exercise.
We will see what next year brings if Opa is up for it. He turns 91 on the 16th.

Good deal, you getting out hunting with him at his age!! If you check the regs there is a GOS for does in some spots.
