Thumbs up First grouse of the year

Actually these two ruffies are probably the first grouse I've shot in a few years...always seem to be too busy hunting moose or deer or goose/ducks to bother whackign some chickens

Id been deer hunting a couple times in the past few days and seen some birds so I decided to bring my ugly but accurate and inexpensive Savage 22 with me tonight.

Ended up chasing one around playing hide and seek before he turned into a ghost, then found four birds in a dry creek, pulled two out of there and chased the 3rd around before he escaped on me - twice!

    looking forward to dinner tommorow

FANTASTIC pic's fella's. They show why they're so hard to spot if not standing on the road.

All they need to do is not move and they disappear/blend in with their surroundings.

    NOW I'm hungry...
