Thumbs up Re: Wild game Dinners

Chops from this guy, grilled alongside Butternut Steaks:

Served up with mixed veggies and an excellent Merlot.

    Yummy!

Cut the squash into 1.5 inch steaks.
Best to skin them with a potato peeler.
Brush on some Avocado Oil and whatever your favorite spice might be (I did not do this yesterday, but do like maple syrup or demerara sugar).

Next steps are based on whether you use a Teflon mat or not (I use the Cookina mats cut to size: https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/c...-0851985p.html ).

If yes, smear butter on the mat before dropping the butternut pucks on them - let it brown a little. Adds a nice caramel finish.

If no, brown some butter in a small skillet, forgo the olive oil, and brush onto pucks before dropping on the bare grill. Can add spice or syrup to this version as well.

Cook on just over medium heat, flipping as required.
Done when the outside is crisp and the inside is creamy.

Excellent way to do this squash IMO!
