Liard highway is not a great place to hunt. Mostly flat and muskeg. If you want to go way north and hunt moose, charter a boat or plane from Muncho Lk. or Fort Nelson or Dease Lk. and get into a good lake or one of the rivers up there. I'd be happy to point you to some moose lakes. The rivers are getting pretty crowded and unless you want to pack a moose, you may want to hunt a lake.
Carl the greenskeeper is the ultimate varmint killer.
Hunt with your eyes...save your legs for draggin....
Butcher is right -
Alot of muskeg ground in the Liard area and you're better off doing moose hunts further west in the Dease Lake country.
dease lake a have to look it up on map how long has everybody been going there?
Fuss, I've hunted Dease a few times starting in the early 90's. Only one time for moose. If you go to the right spot they are pretty thick. My dad and I flew up in '03 and bonked two bulls in one day. That same day I glassed somewhere around 15 moose in various swamps and ponds. 5 or 6 were bulls. This was in August.
