    slicktricks or montecs

I've been using sonics broadheads and like how they fly but I've been looking for a tougher broadhead.I like the looks of the montecs and the slicktricks just wondering who uses them and how they like them .Are they accurate most important and do they hold up well.
    need a little feed back.

I've got all three heads in my quiver. Plus some Razorcaps. I like the Montecs as being the most solid.

Have a look at N.A.P.'S Hellrazor. It looks to be as good as either Razorcaps or Montecs. All are one-piece heads and all fly very well.

I shot slick tricks last year and really liked them, however they have been having some serious issues with their blades lately. I switched to montecs after I couldn't get replacement blades for 4 months. The Montecs fly great and so far have done a great job. I took my bear with them this year, pass through and burried in dirt, but still razor sharp. You couldn't tell the used head from the new heads in sharpness. However depending on how fast your bow is you might get a whistling sound. I know I get one out of my Silverado.

The montecs are good. Consider the Rocky Mountain titaniums or premiers too.

Slick tricks fly well, you'll find that they have a different sound when in flite, some could call them noisy. These blades have an aggressive blade angle which is more prone to chopping through an animal rather than slicing. Regarless from what I hear, they drop animals fast with good blood.

    Haven't tried the Montec's

I just tried Magnus Stinger Buzzcuts with bleeders on my bear, major blood, didn't go far, fly great and I didn't notice any noise. They also have a lifetime guarantee, if you bend one or damage it in any way you just send it back and they will replace it. And apparently they are real easy to resharpen.

One other thing about Montecs that I've heard a bit about is that they sometimes 'whistle' in flight. From what I read though, I recall that it was a tuning issue that caused the whistle.

I prefer a fixed blade rather than a replaceable blade head. Just my preference.

eleven animals so far with Montecs in the last 4 years, they are awesome the only one I retired passed through a shoulder bone and had a slight bend in the blade other than that you just put them back in the quiver.
