It seems like a brilliant idea. They are $150 in Cabelas though!

I've seen them advertised, and I've read about them but I've never either tried one or seen one on a bow.

If there has to be a magnet inside the arrow it coud lead to some interesting tweaking to get a decent FOC. Has anyone seen a video clip of the rest in action?

    BW,

They don't require a magnet or anything else in the arrow, the magnet is in the rest and it grabs / levitates the arrow by the field point or broadhead. I don't know how they would go with stainless or full aluminium heads, and my concern is would be that the arrows would have to be cut short so that the head is right up against the rest.

They do look like they would shoot good though.

    Cheers Noel

I believe there is an insert in the arrow. They don't attract each other they repel each other to keep it floating and not stuck to one side.

the Air rest .... Tried it ... didnt like it .... not practical for hunting or a spongy walled bow .... you have a range of less than 1/4" ...if you pull too hard into your wall the arrow will fall ... if you creep a bit the arrow will fall .... most people when hunting have less than perfect form .... the arrow will fall ....

and there is an insert and its heavy ... add about 15-20 grains to your normal insert pending on your brand of arrow
