    my hand grip fell off!

I was out practicing today and the hand grip fell off my new bow Just curious what I can use to glue it back on. Its a BowTech TomCat that I just bought last week. Its a cheaper plastic grip and was glued on by the looks of it previously. I would sure like to get a better grip installed but time is an issue at the moment with the bear season starting to warm up. Anything I can but that will keep the damn thing in place!

    I'm resisting the obvious reply(s)........

I'd try a two part epoxy and let it sit for over night and all the next day.

    Good luck........

Dan I would agree with you on the two part epoxy, it will hold like sh-t to a blanket for a long time. MIKE

So guys is this a normal problem? Up until this the bow was performing flawless. I am a recurve shooter that switched to a compound so I don't have a whole bunch of compound experience. I will say a nice shaped wood grip would be a great improvement to the little piece of rubber it came with!

There are quite a few after market pieces that are available. Try these guys and see is something "floats your boat" or "fluffs your kilt."

Or......go to http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/ and do a "search" on replacement grips.

If you're thinking about putting a wooden grip on there in the not too distant future - don't glue your rubber one back on. Wrap some tape around the grip until you make your mind up. If you glue on your old grip you'll have a heckova time getting it off.

Make sure you don't glue it too good or it will be a SOB to get off. Maybe just do the back and not the sides or very little on the sides. If you aren't going to put a different grip on it, glue the hell out of it.

Thanks for the replys guys. The shop that sold me the bow is fixing it up for me. I was going to upgrade the grips but this way it will give me an excuse to buy another bow next year! But honey! I need a new one with a better grip!! That will be the excuse next year!
