if the bc government is guaranteeing financial security to the goabc ,I wonder if we should not be asking the same for all our work? perhaps we should look at it that way as he has stated in his press release. I would imagine if all the people in bc were to ask for financial security for their business this would make them sit up and take notice. And I'm pretty sure they cut the industry way back a few years ago when Bill Bennett was the Minister.

They do not guarantee the movie industry theaters placements and movie patrons: They give them tax breaks and arts grants - which require a test of reason:

I have no problem with the government giving tax breaks to Guides or conservation grants if they have proof their business is benefiting conservation efforts and they are having financial problems.

How about an apples to apples approach: Ensuring that the small businesses that rely on resident hunters in regions where the allocation policy is being applied get to apply for a grant because of the loss of business to the Guides?

As mentioned in an earlier post, they didn't give 2 shits when we went to Victoria to protest the loss of 500 + highly skilled and paid jobs. The ripple effect, effected thousands more. And almost every dollar earned stayed in BC. The Manitoba and Quebec Gov't are still fighting that wrong. BC Lieberals?

Maybe if we would have had a paid lobbyist in Victoria??
