Had a great day of ice fishing for Kokanee. Here is a picture of some of the fish we kept.

Great pics! Those kokanee look real healthy. When did they put them in 10 mile? Do they taste muddy at all? Used to catch 6-8 lb rainbows on Dragon about this time. Does that still happen? Have a real nice day!
That'll be some good eats, great day!

Hey Chuck, they started stocking 10 mile about 4 years ago. Dragon is still producing big fish. I was back at 10 Mile today and limited out again. All about the same size. Just about everyone that was there got a limit.
Live to hunt, hunt to live!!!!!
What is the limit there? More importantly....where is the lake?
I've always loved Kokanee. I think they are some of the best eating non-tiday fare. Great work! Enjoy your spoils.
Hey Swamper! If you know how and got the pressure cooker, those kokanee sure can up nice. In fact they can up just like salmon, which rainbow just don't quite do. Happy eating!
Maybe due to the fact they're genetically identical to sockeye!they can up just like salmon

Will you be there tomorrow Swamper, I'm swinging into town to fish Dragon....looks like I'll be stopping at Ten Mile too!!
I've heard stories of kokanee in there. Nice to see some pics of them. Thanks
