Favourite/memorable dog pics
Hey HBC;
What about a thread where we post up pics of our photo opps with our dogs?
Do you want to take a second and remember a past or current pet or hunting companion.
Post up the pics and tell the story!!

This was their first trip out. Zoe starts to shake as soon as it thinks about getting cold out so my wife got her the clothes

bcbrez how many dogs to you have? where was the pheasant hunting pic taken. love the pics!!
Re: Favourite/memorable dog pics
A golden retriever, golden retriever/lab cross that belong to my parents. A newfie/tibetian mastiff cross and a cane corso/lab cross that are mine. We hunt with all of them but the golden retriever in the pheasant picture is getting old and only goes on road hunts now. Picture was taken in Oliver when I lived there.

My dogs have hunted ducks, geese, quail, pheasant, alot of grouse and even turkeys. I take them out almost every day for grouse in Sept and through Oct. Some of the best trips and memories are from just getting out walk the dogs for birds.

Ice-fishing on Loon lake waaay back when I was a kid. Would take her huckleberry picking, camping and fishing all the time, super protective of me, my bro and any other kids that were with us. :) Probably woulda took her hunting with me were she still around when I started going by myself for company. She would've been absolute rubbish at retrieving birds or rabbits.. imagine they'd end up half-eaten before they returned to me :D

I always mean to stop and do some glassing and always forget my optics. I did see a tank this year while walking around but never had a shot.
Re: Favourite/memorable dog pics
This is Dusty, we lost him to cancer close to 15 years ago. It's not a great picture, but the only one I have of him:

Jade came a few years after Dusty passed, she's my folks CBR:

and then came my first dog on my own, Odin:
