her name is PEARL..she is white..has a sheen to her...and is $$$$$$ expensive..lol...
dont know which one of the pink nosed chunkey monkey is ours but it is exciting.
they wont start to look like a lab for 4 weeks..however if they look like their Momma Snow or Dad they will be exceptional..
cheers
Steven
Very exiting.
we picked up a Siberian husky puppy in December. It’s been quite the adventure so far. At 5 months now, he can put the run on our gsd cross.
A year in with our Black Lab, Daisy. A family had her for a couple of days and realized she would be a big commitment. Our daughter in law found her through one of her friends and passed the photo of the six week old puppy on to my wife. My wife's comment was "Oh, that's Daisy " She is still the cutest Lab I have ever seen. I've heard in a couple of years, she'll be a perfect dog , I have also heard 4 years.
hmm labs do not grow brains till 2 years old..lol..had 3 previous to Pearl
Steven
Lucy, a chocolate Lab was good from when we got her at 6 months. Sammy we got from the pound,a year old ? ,was a great pet from day one. He was a reject retriever.
hmmm sometimes I do also wonder if a heinz 57 isnt bettr?
these purebreds are designer dogs..they are designed for everything for shows and judging..hair hips stance temperment...however by overly emphasising these traits over and over the bad comes along with the "good"...so ie in Labs..hips knees issues are now known charachteristics and issues..$$$$
on this girl we will have pet insurance...
Buddy had a mixed dog..Sammy was awesome...
steven
Each dog has their own personality . We had no idea what our puppy was going to turn into. She came from a line of companion dogs, not hunting. English Lab. After looking into SPCA, we thought if we wanted a Lab, we would have to buy one. I would have been happy with a 30# mongrel .
hmmmm 7 puppies are 7 days old now..no news or new photos..hmmmm realize I am impatient..lol
Steven
We got ours at 6 weeks. You have some more waiting. We brought her home on my lap, a place she still likes. Mind you it's only the front quarter, now, that fits.
hmm she was born May 24...pick up..July 11.....so 47-48 days old when picked up...only its Susans lap..
cheers
Steven
still need crate /kennel
You obviously have no idea in the time needed to care for a litter of 7 pups and the dam …… the first week and usually thru the second week, the breeder is ensuring all pups are feeding, weighing pups daily, ensure the mum is healthy, cleaning up after the litter, doing multiple loads of laundry …..
May 24th ?, You have called her Victoria or Queenie.
lol....got new photos this AM man are they growing and changing...WOW....dont know how to post here
this breeder provides 30 months of guarantee...
all 3 of our previous labs had to have knee surguries...one had cancer..hmmm
of course you are right it IS a big job looking after mom and babes...they sure look cute.
regards
Susan /Steven
That's a tad harsh.
My Lady & I have been living with and rearing 1/2 Wolf Hybrids for over 30 years.
For any that asked, we made a little time to provide updates and pictures.
It is NOT onerous whatsoever, contrary to the picture you are attempting to paint.
Really..
SRUPP: Patience Grasshopper. They will get around to sending along more soon I am sure...
Cheers,
Nog
If one just wants a Pet, almost anything including Heinz 57 will do and in my mind be just as good as companion as any other. Myself I love all Dogs and Cats, well the later when they are Treed, brown and more then 90Lbs if you know what I mean.
However if one wants something for a specific purpose a Purebred from a Reputable Breeder is the Answer and I would avoid Breeders which just breed for the Show circuit.
I don't know much about other Breeds but a German Hunting Terrier is about as good as any Hunting Dog used for wounded big Game searches and/or clearing an area of Black & Grizzly Bears I can think of.
If one looks for protection a Doberman or Rottweiler (just to name a couple) commands instant Respect, being also outstanding Pets is just the Icing on the Cake.
Cheers

Steven
Congrats on the new dog! Our girl (chocolate lab) just turned 7. Time flies , and we both have more grey hair/ fur than when we met. Dog life is the best life.
No …. Maybe just a little realistic.
I am well aware of how excited new puppy buyers can be …. Currently have a litter of seven here on the ground and am answering emails and sending photos as often as possible on their growth and development.
In the first week, if the OP got an update saying the puppies had arrived, how many, gender and colours (although looks like it was a yellow breeding) they should be willing to “hang in” there while the breeder has a chance to catch their breath between all puppy jobs and get their buyers a more substantial update with photos. Exactly what happened in this case.
Boy those little flea bags are cute Ruppster!! Way cuter than the last pics of them as little pink nozed rodents!! I am sure you wil provide a nice home for them!! Moosin
Sorry.
Been there.
Done that.
Dozens of litters.
Taking a few moments to snap a pix or two and jot a line simply saying they are doing well is NOT onerous.
Something I have done many many times.
Obviously your mileage may vary...
Agree with Moosin!
Damn cute pups!!
Congrats Steve & Susan!
I just know you are in for a world of FUN!
Cheers,
Nog
consider ourselves blessed..Snows last litter..Lindas swan song for pups...and all the pups look like exceptional white..yellow labs...good formation..lots of black noses....life indeed looks great for the 7 newbies...
and yes I am sure there is an abundance of work being done 24/7 keeping them happy, fed, warm dry..all their needs AND SPOTLESLLY WHITE...
