Could be a lack of power issue? I have a stihl 211 that is 35cc (or 38?) And i find it cuts slow so i tend to lean on it a little after a while and it bogs down ... are yiu sure you arent doing this as well?

you can also look up the ones poulan makes. Poulan either owns Huskavarna. Or the other way around. I wouldn't listen to someone that works at CT.

Oh, I thought the consensus was that the Poulan ones were garbage. Is that not accurate?
No intention of going to CT for advice...just know the owner so hoping to get a sweet deal once I figure out if any are decent.
Re: Chainsaw, what do you use for camp?
I owned a husky 41. It was garbage for me. And I have had three poulans. The smaller one lost compression. The wild thing kept stalling every time you would idol it. Adjusting the carb made no difference. The Husky 41 was the third one.

I have the STI HL model 251. Very good saw but dealer told me the bottom two models of either brand are only good if you're cutting a few logs here and there. If you plan on cutting more than that you will burn out those saws

Being that Electrolux Manufacturing owns Husqvarna, I would be inclined to say that Poulan does not.

Another thing to check is the spark arrester screen. It is on the front of your saws muffler. It might be plugged up from the carbon. I use a wire brush to clean them.
Re: Chainsaw, what do you use for camp?
Ever wonder why husky parts are stamped "EM"....? Or has that changed in the past few years?
As per spark arrestor screens, you pull them off and throw them as far as you can.:p
