^^^ Yer gonna wear that finger out.
It has a been a struggle this spring with below seasonal weather and ongoing late snow.
I wasn't able to access my key spots until recently as a result.
I am a solid 6 to 7 weeks behind schedule.
Three cams dropped in yesterday......finally.
Many more to soon follow.
As a few key locations are getting into their 3rd and 4th yr I was pleased to see traffic already.
Deer are obviously being drawn in to the heavy mineral loads accumulated in the soil over the years.
Timber continues to become less and less with the ongoing logging.
Concerning.
I look forward to my first cam pulls of the season next week.
You will be excited to see some decent antler growth all ready. I am checking cams tomorrow, have seen a few decent bucks already. And the beat goes on.....
I've been inspired by this thread to expand to look for new whitetail areas as the deer seem to become educated after several years of hunting them...and mostly not succeeding.
Then of course, the reality of a busy life sets in.....kids soccer 5 days a week, OT, firewood season, backpack training and endless yard work and vehicle repairs.
Good thing the days are long this time of year.
Trying my best but the bears keep adjusting my cams better than once a week
