View Full Version : First Deer for my nephew

I took my nephew out last weekend and he was able to connect on his first deer. A really nice two point mule deer, dressed out at 120 pounds hanging at the butchers. It felt great to be there for him on his first big game animal and he worked to get it, that's for sure. Hopefully one of many more to come. getting young hunters out there and having a great time is sure fun. Couldn't talk him into dropping a nice bear on the way out, he said he didn't want to fill all his tags in one day because he loves getting out there.

200 yard shot, right behind the front shoulder and a two and a half hour pack out.

Congratulations to you and your nephew on his first big game hunt. Good story and a great photo. I am hoping for the same sort of hunt in the next few days.
