Pheasant farm / ranch?

Hey, do any of you people know the laws regarding pheasants? Is it legal for me to buy them and release them on my property? ( and let people hunt them)

They are an introduced species here so you might want to check with the Fish & Wildlife ministry.

I don't know if permits are required or not but hunting clubs do it in the lower mainland. Raise birds and release them onto leased property.

You need the receipt from the farm with all the info regarding birds,# of birds purchased, sex, band #s if banded etc and you are good to go. Do it quite often for training the dogs
