Give me a break. That thing looks like it's been eating at A&W for the last 10 years.....and no wild bear would ever be caught wearing those shorts.

They are at the north end of Harrison Lake. Why not Manning?

I did see one about 4 years ago just inside the park.

No seriously.
I heard a few years ago when I went fishing the Skagit that they released a few grizzlies in Manning to reintroduce them into area.
I have not seen them though.

Saw a sow with cubs on the side of the road there two years ago. Lots of tourists pulled over taking pictures.

Attended a meeting in Tulameen, maybe 7 years ago where a presentation was made by BC Parks, I think, where the topic of Grizzley Bear populations in the area was discussed along with a plan to reintroduce Grizzlies into the area.
If you look at a map, you'll see that the Northern edge of Manning really isn't that far from here.
Lo and behold about 4 years ago we walked across the Tulameen River right behind our place, walking 4 dogs and about 100 metres up the trail we spotted a young Grizzly. Fortunately the dogs didn't smell it and we quietly reversed direction back across the river.
Went back the next day looking for tracks and found what sure appeared to be Grizzly tracks.
