well gang, we met at 5;30 at wellington pt. for an organization meeting with a bunch of blurry eyed kids and parents. and off to the action both marsh and field. we had to turn kids away because we didn,t have enough mentors. after it was all done we had 6 ducks and 20 geese and a bunch of happy kids. lunch at wellington and a field dressing lesson from josh we gave em a bunch of swag and some geese and sent em home .all in all a great day. a big thanks to all the parents and mentors that came out. a great day, lots of bullets spent and they all had smiles when we finished. good work all....dale

I just want to say a big thank you to all the mentors that took the time to take the youths out for some hunting. Lots of chances to shoot and lots of lessons learnt this day. My son (nathan) managed to take down one geese and he couldn't be more happier. He dressed the geese by himself with a bit of coaching of course. Anyways thank you once again Dale, Mark, Richard, and Rob(?)

Got out with my nephew and a buddy and his 13yr daughter. 4 birds hit the ground and the dog got to get his fix. The young lady upstaged my nephew 3-1 And it was her first time shooting a shotty. I lent her my jr model 20ga 870 and made my nephew man up and use the 12ga. I give him mad props, he got bruised from the recoil but took it like a champ. The father was very happy watching his daughter drop a bird at 25yds. Smiles all around. This was night flight in the marsh

Dale, it was such a fantastic experience for Konnor and I.
Konnor was so happy with his duck and goose calls... He blew them all the way home. Apparently Josh told the kids to practice until your parents go nuts, then hide and keep practicing! Konnor also cleaned the two geese we came away with all by himself. Thanks to Josh for teaching the kids, he did a great job.
My boy decided to take a goose head and chase his mother around the house with it, more Josh influence? . I too had an incredible time. It was really great hanging out with you fellas, listening to the stories and tossing the bull a bit too. I hope to be able to do it again sometime. special thanks to you and Mark for getting me hooked on waterfowl hunting. and a big thanks to everyone of the volunteers that made this thing work out so well.

If all kids were like these two, hunting would have a great future.

It's amazing how many kids are. It's up to us adults to introduce them to the sport and open up their world.
