This fall I shot this beautiful blacktail and had him officially scored by a Pope & Young measurer - 114 5/8. I plan to enter him officially and get my name in the records! I think it will be unlikely with the kids getting older (& hence less time) that I'll have another opportunity to get such a nice one!

That's a great looking deer. What is the minimum for getting in the book? Huge body too.

I take it that the tadpoles aren't interested in hunting and the great outdoors?

Tis a nice Buck and I agree it IS a nice picture also.

Awesome buck, I hunted that area for a couple of years and really worked hard for it, never got the rewards. You must have worked hard for him. Congrats!

yeah, great buck. I spotted this pic in the gallery some time ago and wondered why I had missed any original post on it.

I agree with Chuck, couldn't have chosen a more "picture perfect" place for him to die.

With respect to the kids. You may find in just a few years, you have quality time back on your side.
