Was sent a pic today of a nice 6x7 bull elk shot and left to rot in the upper Squamish area. I don't know much other than it was found on Sunday and I guess the CO's were on it quickly. Although the herd is doing well up here, there is only 1 LEH tag and this is the only the 2nd year. Being one of the big ones in the herd, not only does this suck for the LEH holder, it may very well impact the chance of another tag for the area. I personally have found the remains of a cow left in a ditch up there and as long as these A HOLES continue to do this we are going to lose out. So here is my thoughts, when I'm in the valley hunting I am going to take note of every truck, quad, hunter I see. Taking notes, maybe even plate? I don't road hunt much but sometimes it's easy to notice the same truck going back and forth or just being a little off, so I'm going to take note. I do believe they have a lead but I can't confirm. Any one out there near the Ashlu on Sunday see anything strange?
