Friends first deer

Buddy of mine has hunted for many years and never shot anything bigger than a grouse. Couple of weeks ago he left home early for a day trip up the Coq. By 6:30am he dropped his first deer. We put a tape on it the other night and grossed scored it at 185 6/8. Not too shappy for his first big game animal......after about 30 years of looking :)

Must be my eyes, but I don't see those stickers on the left antler -comparing the one on the ground to the rack in the guys hands? Looks like a clean 4 point up top. Still nice buck for a "1 st deer" awesome!

Same deer. Unfortunately I was not with him that day as he said there were several large bucks in the group.

no way im not beliving that is the same deer the first one on the ground its back fork is real tight the guy holding that set of nice antlers the back left fork is not tight like the one in the first picture

If it was a grouse it wood have been a giant trophy Blue Grouse.

from that angle the bases do not look the same deffinatly looks similar but both are amazing bucks it really doesnt need to be argued

congrats, that is a beauty. First picture definitely doesn't do it justice, but anyone who says they aren't the same is just jealous...hell who wouldn't be. Like it matters anyway, we love pictures and stories. thanks for sharing

I sent Rackem a couple more pics that should make it clearer for the doubters as to whether it is the same deer. Unfortunately my son and I are heading off on a 10 day hunting trip this morning so I will not be around to hear the retractions :) Ray, sorry buddy. I know your lurking a bit on this site and reading that some folks are questioning your deer.
