Is the river fairly high now? I saw quite a few really nice coho the other day and had to let go a super bright wild one.

Drove over the hwy bridge early Friday, the river was full of fishermen knee deep in the water, drove home tonight. No fisherman just lots of water. Maybe the fish will show in numbers now? Nice score Alex

Beauty fish - the river must be blown out now with all the rain?

Yes, it was high today and it's raining. I don't expect the conditions to be great for a few days.
You can still find fishable water.

The river is full of coho right now.
With the forecast of more rain for the next few weeks this season might be pretty short.

Nice Coho. Looks to be a hatchery coho. Don't see an adipose fin in the picture.

Coach, if I can get me a deer next weekend, I'll write you a novel about it ;)

Was down there last week, What a gong show. Felt like 7 Oaks mall in Abbotsford on a Friday evening. Shoulder to shoulder, folks casting across other folks with fish on. You guys can have it. Not my idea of a relaxing day on the water.

I never seem to run into to many people when i go. If I do they are respectful because they are doing the same thing as me. Hiking into small little runs or just a little pool, to get away from the gongshow in the main spots. Just like hunting if you can get out and hike a bit you find the good spots.

Good idea. Been years since I fished that river and was quite shocked to see the change and attitudes of many. Reminded me of what it used to be like up by the hatchery.
