Make sure you pick the right tree

So, always make sure you hang your cam on a tree that will withstand the wind.....

I have had this happend twice this year.....

In May, notice the elk and then the deer and the branches where the elk was standing.....missed my camera by a couple feet.

So I moved the camera to a new place that would later give me ~3500 picts of deer/elk/moose and hunters.....On my last check, I came across this....

and the cam managed to catch it...

So the cam came home with me.....bad luck around those trees...

I have had that happen once. Funny thing was the cam was set up on a simple black tail trail. Tree blew down beside it covered in lichen. Deer fed on it for weeks, lots of pics. Luckily no damage to cam :P
