I don't think I've posted any of my hunting reports on here, so here's a brief report from my mid-August bear hunt.
There was a private land only bear opening in region 8, so my hunting partner Al and I took advantage of some friends of ours 450 acres on the edge of Midway. Spent 4 days camping and exploring the property with no sign of a bear (although the owner said he's seen a couple blackies and possibly a young grizz lumbering around up there), but plenty of White tail sign as well as indications there was a predator or predators on the property aka a dozen or more deer skeletons. Don't know if it was exclusively the coyote pack we heard yapping every night or if there was also a cat lurking around.
Although we didn't put an animal down, I feel like I learned a bit about white tail habits and what it takes to hunt them. Lots of trails and beds up there! Anyways, here's a few pics of the trip:
**YIKES! Didn't realize how big the pics would come out! Sorry guys!**
