I am looking for a bow to shoot indoor paper with ...
Light poundage.. say about 50ish limbs ...
Ideally a 2005 ish Hoyt Protec with 3000 limbs and 29" cams

is there anything out there?

Yo Mikey, have you ever shot the 3000 limbs? Sam michael and I all tried 3000 limbs at one time or another and we all HATED them. They have absolutely no wall, and at low poundage they really are a wet noodle of a limb. You have always tended (like me) to shoot bows with rack hard walls. just food for thought, hate to see you shell out some dough only to find that like us, you end up hating the bow.

Ya Chris I know what yer sayin ... I had a protec with 60 pound 3000 limbs once..... I shot it at the 06 nats in Lethbridge..... I liked it but sold it because I wanted the speed .
best I could muster out of it was 260 ish .... not really effective for a 3D bow when your weak point is pinning down distance to the foot.

Like I said tho .... strictly an indoor paper bow .... 27xx arrows ... 150 grain point and 5" feathers .... 200ish fps

Mid 2000s pro & ultra tecs and elites seem to fetch 350- 400 on the market ....
thats what I am after to dabble in the indoor paper a little more seriously

I have a vantage elite plus right now. Love it but no time to shoot it anymore.

If you can get one of these bows I highly recommend it.

But you already know that.

Hello Mike,
I have a 2012 hoyt Vantage Elite Plus. Here are the specs:
- 50-60 lbs
- 28 1/2" draw
- GTX cams
- XT2000 limbs
- 8 inch brace
- 40 3/8 ATA

I even have a brand new set of Vapor Trail strings (still in the package) for it.

I shoot my shorter bow slightly better (average of 1.5 points per round of 300 indoor, although every shooter I polled at the Canadian Championships recommended this bow). I am told, that it is not unusual for a short stature shooter to have trouble with such a long bow. I am not sure if that is correct, but I would like to sell it.
Phone me and we can talk. 250-392-9695

Mikey,
I forgot to mention that I had to twist up the string to get to 28 1/2. It will go to 29 inches.
