Whiteswan Lake area Bridges????

Just got a call from a buddy who had heard that there are around 40 bridges out along the Whiteswan Lake Road. Anyone know about this. Any info would be appreciated.

I don't think I've ever driven a road that had 40 bridges.
what would have taken them out? has it been raining that much?

Had a buddy up there last week, the area has changed and yes bridges are out.

Whiteriver (Whiteswan) FSR is closed at 32.5km due to bridge approach washout, but bridge is expected to be fixed by September 27, 2013. Road will closed at 37km due to washout, and 44km bridge is washed out.

Just got back from the Palliser river area and can confirm of a ton of bridges and roads being out in that area too. That whole east side of the valley got hit hard from the same rains that flooded calgary.

can a guy still cross, if the condition permits it (on foot, argo, horses) ? or you can get fined if you get caught the other side ??

Nope you can't, unless you go around...and that area is bad too

Thanks for the link. My buddy called those numbers today an it was confirmed that the area has been hit real hard by rains. Plan b now! Good luck out there.

i found way around the washed out bridges but found many other washouts too.....11 slides/washouts and this is the end of the road
