Early morning moose hunt

Me and the old man went for a morning drive for moose . My dad cant walk anymore as he needs oxygen , and I have a real bad cold doc calls it whooping cough so were a hurting pair lol . Not much of a story came up into a cut block same block I killed a big one a few years back. Soon as we came up rd there they was a bull and a cow 200 yrd away , dad lines up with the 3006 boom wack , boom wack bull goes down gets up boom wack from me bull goes down we sit there for five mins just watching . Just as we were about to get in truck dam bull gets up , dad is still trying to get his breath back , feel sorry for him having to live with this disease. I line up on him again boom wack all over . 2 shots right behind shoulder from dad 1 in front chest and 1 in shoulders from me . lol one tuff bull crazy . We were aable to get to 30 yrds to bull took my dad 5mins to walk in slow procedure can only walk a few feet and have to sit to catch his breath . Took a few pics and got to work. 357lbs at butchers shop . Lucky truck was so close being so sick my self it made for a tuff pack lol 30 yrds hard when u cant breath only imagine what my dad has to go threw. All in all awesome hunt with my father not sure how many more we have together. Terrific! It's really special when someone can go out hunting with their Dad, especially when the Dad just can't go alone anymore. Sure hope there's more in the future. I was able to take my Dad out for the last few hunts before his eyesight and health failed. It was very special for the both of us, and he often talked about those trips long after.

I wish I could still hunt with my Dad, but I do have so many great memories of hunts with him, that when I go out I feel like he is with me sometimes...
