Van Creek/Cliff Lake Trail Head

Does anyone know if the Cliff Lake trail head is accessible up at Van Creek 41km (Bull River)? If so, is 4x4 required?

Haven't had a chance to make it up there yet but don't want to waste my time if she's all messed up. It's always fun doing a hunting/fishing camp in the alpine.

Van Creek is open and one of the roads that didn't wash out in the June flood. You will need a 4x4 to get there though just for the clearance

My son hiked to Cliff Lk in August with a bunch of friends, pretty sure they went through Van Ck and had no trouble.
