Finally wrapped up my last fishing charter of the season, and am Damn Itchy to get on with the next (HUNTING) Season!!

Just recently lined up a Great Deal on an Excalibur Phoenix (full dressed) for a Buddy, and he was of course all Hot 'n Bothered to learn how to shoot it.

So a quick call to my Rancher Buddy down-Island, and a date was struck. Wandered down there just the other day to hook up with both the Rancher and the new bow-owner, and of course drug along that Sweet new Matrix 380!

The Newbie could not wait to show off his new Toy! In fact, his tail was wagging so hard his eyeballs were wiggling!! http://bigshotsbc.ca/images/smilies/biggrin-new.png
After going through how the bow works, safety, how to cock and load it, it was time for his first go with it:

Up 'til then I didn't think he could get any more Happy Happy. I was Wrong!! Methinks that GRIN says it all!!

Then I ran a few rounds of my new Custom Arrows through the Matrix. The Rancher was so Impressed he simply HAD to try them out for himself! Although somewhat inexperienced, Big John's Craftsmanship combined with that Matrix certainly made him look GOOD!

First round at 40 yards:

And second at 50:

Another couple of Killers on my hands methinks!! Gotta LOVE those Luminoks - watching that light STREAK to the target is an Incredible experience! Can hardly wait until that target is a deer! Soon now methinks!!

The Matrix now has over 800 shots through her. ALL on the first Custom Boo String she was originally dressed with!! Incredible performance considering the sheer POWER of this bow! In fact I finally split the rubber on the bow's REDDs that day, but the string is just now showing a little sign of serving wear!!

Couple of items to play Catch-Up with around the Hacienda as always. But soon I'll be ghosting through the woods with this Fine Bow in my hands, looking for it's First Blood! It is Ready, as am I, and I can Hardly Wait!! http://bigshotsbc.ca/images/smilies/Pozitive.gif

Safe & Successful hunting this fall Folks!

Cheers,
Nog
