So I am just wondering from you experienced guys if you hang your waterfowl? And if you do for how long?

I know I have with ducks last year when its a bit colder out.

But, when we did last week with out geese we noticed while having some cold ones bees were all over it so we, took them down and cleaned them all on spot.

Looking to get a bunch this weekend as well so i'm trying to get thoughts on the matter.

I prefer to hang them 2-3 days, but in this weather process them as soon as I can.

Same as FG but if you're gonna hang geese in any weather gut them first and cut away any gut-shot skin/blood.

Yeah i noticed in that article as well that the temp was around 50F to 55F. So I was thinking somewhere cooler in my house like a spare fridge. Maybe ill wait till Oct to start hanging them.

We like to hang our birds for 3-5 days in cold weather - in current conditions its breasts off and straight into the brine.

Saw tons of geese this morning - all nicely positioned at 40 feet above the American border posts on 176 - Ba*****s!!

Prefer to clean them first then age them in the fridge for upto a week.
