Opening Day Grouse Hunt

First off, happy 2013 hunting season!

Due to work I was only able to get out for an evening hunt. Got home from work at 5, packed the truck with the gun and gear and loaded the pup. Went for a 1.5 hour hike and the dog put up 4 blues and a covey of ruffies (at least 5 in the covey). Managed to get 1 blue (man those birds are fast!) and 2 ruffies. It is so nice being out in the woods again!

I will try to upload a pic of the dog and blue grouse but I am new at it, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Nice work CBH! I can't upload photo's either! I have tried, but I just get an error exclamation marks next to each photo I try to upload.

I made it out yesterday morning for a few hours, only saw ruffies where I was though. Really hoping to run into some Blues next time I am out.

Photo upload errors are usually from the photo being too large. Use something like http://pixlr.com to resize it ;)

To upload photos to HBC

1 - go to www.Photobucket.com and open a free account
2 - upload your pics to an album you create on photobucket
3 - click in the pic you want to share on HBC
4 - copy the IMG code (4th of 4 choices on right hand side photobucket page)
5 - paste the IMG code into your thread on HBC
6 - thank to Coach for making this all so simple. :-D
