Well my dad (Brez) put a nice 6 point down with his bow on the first. I'm sure the pics and stories will come in this weekend.

My 10 year old grandson took his very first elk this morning at 7 ;00am, first light.
Was a year old cow. A 240 yard shot with the 6.5x55 swedish mauser, 140 grain hornady spbt.

The velocity was ONLY 2300 FPS!! Was a light load I made for him.
Shot was at a 50 Degree slope, down hill. His first two shots were misses, but the third one did the trick.
The cow ran for 30 yards and hit the ground. Was a dead center heart shot!!!
Sorry no pictures as I don,t know how to load and post them. his dad might know how.
I hope that other grandpa's and grand kids have the same luck, good hunting all!!
