I was just wondering which members have/use Sako rifles for their hunts, and how they like them?? And if any owners have them in left handed bolt actions and where is the best place to deal on one!I am in the market for one in a Finnlight in 7mm,thank you. If they make them in a left handed action Thanks again,Ferenc

I have had 3 Sako's. The 30-06 was my first, a laminate 375H+H which I never should have sold and the only gun I use now... a 7mm synthetic. One word to describe all 3 guns that I owned, ACURATE. I would highly recomend them.
All 3 of my Sako's were before Beretta took over, so I cannot comment if the quality has changed.

Me. Sako Classic in 7mm Rem Mag, topped with a 3x9x40 VX-II. I bought it new in 1983. It has taken moose, elk, and deer. Deadly accurate and the AV action is smooth as silk. A local gunsmith commented that the walnut was as nice as any of the custom stocks he builds. Last time at the range, 3 factory loads made a perfect 1/2" tear an inch high at 100 yards. I highly recommend a Sako as a trouble-free gun that will last your lifetime.

I have a Sako 75, stainless/synthetic, in 300 Win Mag. It is a great gun, a tiny bit heavy for packing around all day, but otherwise no complaints.

I'll put in my vote for Sako rifles. They are incredibly crafted very accurate rifles.

Well,
Between my father, brother, and I we have several Sako's. We have AII's, AIII's, AIV's, AV's, an LN64 (?) and a couple of Deluxe's. My favorites are the 2 we have w/ a full Mannlicher stock ( a .338 and a .300). My dad used the .338 w/ the Mannlicher stock to drop a moose at 400 yards. Great guns and very accurate.

I have 2 75"s right now. Very good quality and super accurate.

The 22-250 Varmint is as accurate as any fine tuned custom and my 9.3x66 Sako shoots like a hot damn despite the fact that it rattles my bones loose.

I've been surfing the net, pouring over catalogues, and drooling/leaning on many gunshop counters these last six months. I can say IMHO the Sako was the prettiest, smoothest rifle I could find (for less than an arm or leg).
I put down my deposit at Italian on a 300 win, model 85 stainless. Now the painful wait..........

I've got two Sakos and 270 Win and a 338 Win Mag. I like both of them because they shoot well.
