Just curious as to how many HBC members do any Washington elk hunts. What was your hunting experience there?

In the early 90's I chased elk on the Western Slopes of Mt. Ranier. Never got one but tracked them a lot. On one of those trips I got lost in the fog and had to sit and wait for a couple hours for it to lift so I could figure out my bearings again. Been lost twice in the bush over the years. Nothing scary but a little unsettling when you're not sure which way it is to the trailhead.

Haven't hunted in Washington State but we saw a few nice herds around Mt. St. Helens this Summer.

Washington lets you buy non res hunting licenses and tags over the counter for most species. No GO required, so head on down.
