To everyone: I totally apologize for posting these tasteless pictures of butchered birds. I am really sorry if I offended anyone else. Please accept my heartfelt apology. I never thought of it like that before WF, and I'm sorry for not being considerate of your feelings. I will be euro mounting a couple of these ones. So the only part not used will be the goose rib meat.

We Marsh's pride ourselves on using every part of the goose. The meat has a delicious smoky rich flavor. Plus, you can use the molten goose grease and save it in the refrigerator, thus saving you a trip to the store for a can of expensive goose grease.

Nice work. How did the night shift work play out?
No different than taking a picture of a deer holding the antlers up in my opinion.
Only ended up with one where we were. Hopefully tomorrow it will be better.
And we can remember the calls.

We all shoot single shot. So only 5 shots.

Truth be told one sort of flew off and it landed about 300 yards off. I went after it, and saw it put its head down. I figured it was hit. As I walked up to it at about 20 yards it took flight and my first shot was behind, the second shot was a lot of tail feathers and the last one I led even more and smoked him in the head.

Thats all we had. The evening flight had nothing. We saw only 10 birds a ways off, and at 10 minutes before legal they all headed back to the roost playing follow the leader, flocks of about 20-50 birds, about 8 flocks flew by all out of range.

Thus ending the first day.

Still a lot of corn standing out this way. I only seen one farmer taking corn down yesterday. Once it's all down it should be a blast. Just ducks in the sloughs. Bring on the migrate-rs.
