Anyone have any recommendations for a portable toilet? Squatting in the woods is not very comfy. I saw one in Surplus Herbies yesterday, Just a five gallon bucket with a seat and some chemicals for the smell, it looks like it might be tippy. thanks for the help.

Find a large log and sit on it with your arse hanging over the side...

(For the record, I own one of those buckets with a seat and the bags with chemicals. It stinks to high heaven, takes up space in the truck, etc. Waste of money.)

Sitting upright to poo is one of the main causes of hemorrhoids! Humans digestive system was designed to rid itself of yesterdays corn and bean burrito in a squat.

But... you can also cut a hole in a nice lawn chair (make sure to attach a splatter guard on the front legs) and I am pretty sure most big stores with camping sections have a kit where you get a snap on seat and collection bag that works with 5gal bucket. instead of chemical just use some charcoal from the fire.

You can some times find those portable toilets for the disabled at a thrift store. I have one that can be mounted on a five gallon bucket. It isn't tippy unless you have had to many drinks. Just put a garbage bag in it for a liner and use sawdust or powdered lime to cover your turds. Then when you come home from your hunting trip. stuff it in the neighbours mail box that you do not like.

make a plywood /osb thunder box for your camp ... box with 2x4 or 2x3 framing ... build a cube but only 5 sides covered ... cut hole in opposite side of open and attach a shitter seat .... dig hole ... when camp is over ... remove seat .. move box ... cover your business with Lime and dirt .... Burn thunder box

build fresh one for next trip when you get home ... last one I built took about half of an $11 sheet of 1/2 OSB and an 8' 2x4 so 15 bucks ....

Get a plastic 45 gallon barrel, cut it in half, screw a toilet lid on the top, after cutting a hole in it :) and wholla.........lightwieght toilet......if ya go back to the same spot every year, you can hide it in the bush till next year....or rinse it off and take it back home with you

This thread is full of sheet. Is it really that hard to squeeze one out without the aid of some make shift toilet??? Use a 5 gallon bucket and your imagination. Reminders me of potty training my kids
