Shames Ski Area

Has anybody hunted Northwest of Shames Ski area just West of Terrace? Ie Mount Morris.

Just curious about access on foot and generalities of the area. Can you park at the ski area and hike Northwest of there?

probley not much help. But all the indicated areas are hike able.
You are aloud to use the parking areas all year round for camping hiking etc.
their is a matenance guy who stays up their most of the year. Friendly guy.

Valleys used to hold good moose populations but that has declined significantly. Mt. Morris is a challenge to get to unless you have solid mountaineering skills. It certainly wouldn't be an area I would consider going hunting as there are areas a lot closer than that. Goat requires LEH for those areas as well.
That said, best access to Mt Morris is via the Exstew river area anyway. PM if you need any more info.

I do have an LEH draw for goat for the Mt.Remo & Mt. Morris area. Northwest of Terrace, East of the Exstew and North of Highway 16.
