We're heading up over to Chetwynd area to look for some elk and/or moose in early September. I noticed there are some open seasons for whitetails as well. I've never hunted in the area previously, so wondering if it's worth picking up a WT tag?

I've never shot a whitetail before!

I got one up here last year, they are pretty numerous, as are the Mulies...I'll PM you.

there ARE quite a few WT up there and for 16 bucks for a
tag why take a chance of not having a tag?Cuz sure as hell,
what the first critter you gonna see?

It sounds like I need a WTD tag! :)

We are going for a fill the freezer meat hunt- any legal bull elk, moose or buck will do, so glad to hear there are WT's.

Thanks for the advice and the tips I've had PM'd me. Since this is the first time hunting in this area for both of us (I've usually driven right through Chetwynd/HH) but only stopped for gas and meals) any help is appreciated.

This is where people usually say "point me in the right direction, not looking for your honey holes" but I think I'll come right out and ask you to PM me your honey holes. ;)

Thanks everyone!!

Either would be fine. An X on the map is always appreciated, of course! :)
