Odds are good to get a Bear tag in 6-20 for fall, thinking about next year putting in a caribou grizzly hunt, wondering if guys see much for bears up there and what the water situation is like up on the plateau thanks for any info

Never seen many too close to the lake. There are a few good spots that the bears frequent in the fall though.

On a dry year it can be hard to find water on the plateau. And if you camp on top put some rocks in your tent, the wind can whip up pretty nasty.

There are good numbers of grizzly up on the plateau at the headwaters of Black Fox Creek, especially when the Caribou congregate for the rut. Years ago we had the front quarters of two bulls taken by bear. Generally lots of water in Black Fox.

There are grizz in there but numbers are not that high. Might be quite a disappointing hunt if you're only after grizz. Piggybacking on another hunt for another species would be the best. The only problem is you might draw the grizz and not the other tag and kill your odds for future years.
