Hey,
Just looking for some help on a ATV rental in the Dawson Creek area, have heard that one outfit will rent out, but its a Finning/CAT Rental shop (if correct). Please feel free to throw your 2 cents in as it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

When do you need it?

Peace Country Rentals in Fort St. John rents ATVs for sure, and likely side-by-sides. You might also ask at Hyper Toys in Dawson.

Pretty sure PCR will ONLY rent to companies now, and they want a $6000 bond at that as well. (Buddy tried to rent one a few weeks ago).
The Cat store is selling their last two atv's and will no longer be doing atv rentals as well...

I asked around a couple months ago and nobody was willing to rent to joe public for a weeks hunting, everyone was only renting to companies and they were all booked up for Sept/Oct. And if you were a company, $6000-10000 bond was needed to rent.

Cheers

Surrey Boy, we will be up that way around the 20th of Sept. Looks like we will give Hyper Toys in the next day or so. Thank you for the input so far as it sounds like it might be tough unless we drive a bit more north to Ft st John.

Tried to rent quads last year for a buffalo hunt. It was going to be $800/week, $2500 deposit and insurance. We figured it was easier to buy 2 quads, you have the option of selling them. Even if you lose $500-1000 your still better off than renting

I don`t blame them,I refuse to lend mine to anyone,(well maybe Hunter 47)especially my wifes 28 year old son.I have a 2006 Rhino and I don`t shit drive it.That`s also why my 14 year old truck runs like new.People won`t look after things they don`t own most times.

No one treats a rental like they do their own, but that is why they charge a lot and you need a deposit enough to replace the unit. The companies that rent them, prob treat them worse than most hunters because they are workers who pay nothing if they get wrecked. Too many people also want top rent one who have no experience and get hurt easily. Like mentioned buy a used one in good shape, use it and keep it,. paid for in a couple years of rentals, or sell it for a small loss. Possibly hang onto it and rent it out cheap to your buddies or others here :-)
