Hoping to find out a bit more on this product Leupold Fx-Ii Scout 2.5X28Mm Duplex. What rings you used, what your thoughts are on it etc.. Basically I'm looking for a scout rifle scope for my marlin 45-70. If anybody has any thoughts on this product, or perhaps...is willing to part with theirs... I would be greatful. I went and looked at a compareble Burris but have a little more confidence in the Leupold.

I would like on of these as well on my 45/70. I have the SBL guide gun with the full picanty rail so mounting would be easy. I would use leupold quick detach rings so I could use my peep site as well. I handled a ruger scout rifle with the 2.5X lupy on it and it felt great. I didnt know burris had a comparable scope. I have never seen a burris fail.

I've got Leupold rings and bases on my 444 Xlr and it's a pretty solid set up. In the rings I'm using a VXI 2x7x33
