For those on the fence about this my experience is as follows.
The crossbow kit, 6 extra bolts, target, 6 broadheads about $870 w/tax from Nechako Outdoors local. It is a bit noisy (base model no extras) but the scope reticle works great. Shoots 2" or so @40yds with field point and broad heads. Like shooting a scoped slug shotgun but some delay for bolt flight so range less than a shotgun, although accuracy might actually be better. Exact range is obviously much more important so good estimation/laser rangefinder helps lot. Trigger is bad like a Moisin, but this a base model bow.
