Never been in there so just wondering what the road is like and how long is the drive from McKenzie. Got a plane to catch. :)

It was fine to black lake two summers ago...gets a little rough after the turn off at the airstrip but your only minutes away at that point. It's a good haul from Mackenzie 8-10 hours I think can't recall exactly. We were slow though as we hauled in horses.

FYI, The Omineca River bridge on the Finlay will be closed soon for upgrading (there is a thread on here about it) so you should double check that you are not going to be affected by it, it's a long detour around...checked the thread and it says Sept 1 and will last several weeks. My company is working on the project so I will double check the schedule and get back to you if it is different. When are you going?

With a pickup its about 7.5hrs as stated above. The further you go the better the rd gets.
