Just wondering if anyone has any experience with mineral blocks and sheep? I'm hiking into our Cali sheep draw to scout around next weekend and I'm wondering if a mineral block (brown) in my pack is worth the the weight.
Do sheep use them? Is 3-4 weeks enough time for them to get on them? Should I add a little COB to speed up the process?
Thanks

yes, leave your sleeping bag behind and fill your pack full. They will follow you through the bush, and ya - why post that

sheep, goats, deer, cows, elk, moose.......
They all love salt licks and mineral blocks - carry them high into the alpine!

Personally wouldn't bother - would focus on finding the rams.
