I have the Oct 1st Bison draw and got the wonderful maps they give out to the draw... I was thinking of using my dads rhino which is too much weight for the restrictions in Muskwa Kechika.... My question for people that have done the earlier A draw hunt is... is there enough area to hunt and hopefully be successful using the rhino in the appropriate areas.. or should I be thinking about getting quads somehow? these maps are brutal.. thanks if anyone has info.. going to pay the trespass fee and hopefully stay at a cabin..

are you sure the rhino is over the ATV size restriction? an 09 700 is 509kg dry, but a 660 is 480kg, and the 450 would be lighter still...just something to chew on, as Im not completely familiar with the restrictions and the wording of

its a 700.. I know 500kg is the max... just not sure how much you can drive it around up there without being in the restricted area

If you want to stay at the ranch and hunt much past their property you'll need to be under the 500kg, that being said I saw a truck tracks in the snow all the way to horse camp last year. If to contact McElhanney in Fsj they have a map that shows the hole area and restrictions. Just tell them your going bison hunting and they know exactly what your after
